1-1/2" Q16 Spring Clamp

Stock: In Stock

Key Features

  • Nominal Size: 1 1/2 inch (DN40 class hoses and pipes)

  • Clamping Range: Typically 40–47 mm OD (outer diameter) – depending on hose wall thickness

  • Band Width: 16 mm (Q16 designation)

  • Material Options:

    • AISI 304 Stainless Steel – general industry & food-grade

    • AISI 316 Stainless Steel – marine & chemical resistance

  • Spring Mechanism: Constant-tension design maintains uniform pressure under expansion/contraction

  • Fastener Type: T-bolt or hex bolt with self-locking nut

  • Temperature Range: −20 °C to +150 °C (depending on hose material)

  • Corrosion Resistance: High; 316 recommended for aggressive environments

Why Choose Constant Tension?

Traditional worm-drive clamps may loosen under thermal cycles. The spring-loaded design automatically compensates for hose shrinkage or expansion, ensuring:

  • Leak-proof sealing under temperature variation

  • Reduced need for retightening

  • Higher reliability in vibration-prone systems

Applications

  • Spray nozzle lines (flat fan, hollow cone, full cone nozzles)

  • Chemical process lines – acids, alkalis (material compatibility required)

  • Food & beverage – dairy, juice, brewery lines

  • HVAC & automotive – cooling water hoses, turbo connections

  • Water treatment – filtration and dosing pipelines

  • Agriculture & irrigation – fertilizer dosing and mainline hoses

Installation Guide

  1. Measure OD: Use calipers to check hose outer diameter.

  2. Position Clamp: Place band 1–2 mm behind the hose barb ridge.

  3. Pre-tighten: Hand tighten until centered.

  4. Torque Apply: Use torque wrench (5–9 N·m) for secure fit.

  5. Check After Startup: Inspect for leaks after first operation.

⚠️ Warning: Over-torquing may cut into the hose or deform the fitting.
